RustResort — Rust Update and Global Wipe on August 7, 2025

Today at 21:00 MSK, all RustResort servers will go through a global wipe with a full map and blueprint reset, as well as a new Rust client update!
The Monday server will be migrated to new hardware, and all progress will be permanently wiped.

🔹 Main changes in the update:

• Hardcore 2.0: fully reworked. Weapon research and vendors removed, safe zones disabled, fog of war added. Spawn timers increased: 10 minutes for sleeping bags, 15 for beds. Base upkeep and ammo crafting costs significantly increased.
• New ESC menu interface: refreshed menu with tabs (Play, Store, Settings), quick navigation, 3D skin preview, and improved social panel with friend access.
• Atmospheric improvements: updated fog, lighting, and color grading per biome. Volumetric clouds and environment upgrades without sacrificing performance.
• Metal detector overhaul: now detects items lost with despawned corpses, including weapons. Items retain their owner, durability, and timers. Improved buried item tracking.
• Performance upgrades: up to 65% faster client loading, better server-side optimization, improved performance on lower-end PCs.
• New "Pilot Hazmat Pack" DLC: includes pilot hazmat suit skin, M15 weapon, aircraft-style code lock, black box crate, and ejection seat throne.
• DLC restriction enforcement: starting August 7, servers can no longer grant DLC items unless the player owns them on Steam. Only Workshop items are allowed.
